In photography, shutter speed corresponds to movement. We sometimes want to freeze it, sometimes we want to show it. This workshop covers both aspects. We will learn how to avoid motion blur and how to properly manage blur to show movement.


Recommended photo equipment

Any digital, compact, SLR or mirrorless camera is suitable for this workshop. In the case of interchangeable lens cameras, any lens will do. A tripod may be useful if it rains on the day of the workshop.

Location and progress of the workshops

The theoretical portion and the viewing of the photos take place in a studio, near the Atwater market in Montreal. The precise location will be communicated to you upon registration. The practical portion of the workshops takes place in various locations in Montreal. Most workshops start at 10 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. However, the exact duration of the workshops depends on the size and level of the group, the subject covered, the length of travel, the number of photos taken, etc. Therefore, the end time of the workshops may vary.
